Mesopeel MD azelan rx is a medical device for the chemical exfoliation of the skin, consisting of a combination of exfoliating active ingredients: Azelaic acid, salicylic acid and lactic acid.

Indications

Chemical peeling for patients over 18 years of age for the prevention, treatment and alleviation of rosacea symptoms.

For external use on healthy and undamaged skin.

It is recommended for phototypes I to VI according to the Fitzpatrick scale.

The applicability of the peeling for phototypes V and VI is subject to the doctor's assessment.

Active ingredients

Main ingredients: Azelaic acid, salicylic acid and lactic acid.

Other ingredients: Ethanol, caffeic acid, tranexamic acid, glycyrrhetinic acid, water, szikimic acid, glycerin, arginine, retinal and xanthophylls.

Application

Before treatment, the patient should be asked to remove their contact lenses and close their eyes during treatment.

The skin must be monitored from the start of application until the peeling has neutralized.

Treatment cycle

It is recommended to perform 3 to 5 treatments at 15-day intervals. Perform a refresher treatment every 6 months.

After treatment, you should avoid the following

• Swimming pools, natural or artificial light and direct heat sources for up to 48 hours,
• depilation and laser treatments for at least 15 days.

Possible side effects

The following side effects may occur as a result of chemical peeling of the skin: short-term erythema, prolonged erythema (more than 72 hours), desquamation, slight edema, scabs, texture changes and hypertrophic scarring.

In exceptional cases: post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation; in very rare cases: Hypopigmentation.

NOTE: Patients should report all types of adverse reactions, both serious and mild, as well as those listed in this leaflet, and the doctor is obliged to inform the manufacturer (mesoestetic Pharma Group, S.L) of the occurrence of such adverse reactions, in addition to administering the appropriate treatment and prescribing medication.

Precautions

Mesopeel MD azelan rx is a product that may only be used by specialists in plastic surgery, specialists in dermatology and venereology and medical doctors with a degree in cosmetology.

• Keep out of the reach of children,
• It is the responsibility of the doctor to ensure that Mesopeel MD azelan rx is suitable for the patient before starting treatment: immunological or allergic diseases of the patient and a local examination confirming that the treatment is of benefit to the patient.
• The product may change color during the storage period, which does not affect its safety and efficacy.

Contraindications

Do not use Mesopeel MD azelan rx in case of:

• Pregnancy or breastfeeding,
• Radiotherapy,
• Recent operations,
• Herpes on the face,
• Micropigmentation,
• Patients with an unstable psychological profile.
