Indications
Chemical peeling for patients over 18 years of age for the prevention, treatment and removal of brown, blue-gray, red-pink or purple skin discoloration around the eyes.
It eliminates the signs of ageing of the skin around the eyes: wrinkles on the eyelids (upper and lower) and in the outer corners of the eyes (crow's feet), discoloration due to photo-aging, dark circles, sagging and loss of density and radiance.
It is recommended for phototypes I to IV according to the Fitzpatrick classification. The applicability of the peeling for phototypes V and VI is assessed by the doctor.
Composition
Functional ingredient: glycolic acid, salicylic acid pH 1.8
Other ingredients: ethanol, water, ethoxydiglycol, phytic acid, caffeic acid, shikimic acid, thioctic acid, aminobutyric acid, arginine, coumarin.
Application
Before treatment, the patient must be asked to remove their contact lenses and close their eyes during treatment.
The skin must be monitored from the start of application until the peeling has neutralized.
Treatment cycle
It is recommended to carry out 3 to 5 treatments at 15-day intervals.
Possible side effects
The following side effects may occur as a result of chemical peeling of the skin: short-term erythema, prolonged erythema (more than 72 hours), peeling, slight swelling, scabs, changes in texture and hypertrophic scarring.
In exceptional cases: post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation; in very rare cases: Hypopigmentation.
NOTE: Patients should report all types of adverse reactions, both serious and mild, and those mentioned in this leaflet, and the doctor is obliged to inform the manufacturer (mesoestetic Pharma Group, S.L) of the occurrence of such adverse reactions, in addition to administering the appropriate treatment and prescribing medication.
Contraindications
Do not use mesopeel MD periocular in case of:
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding,
- Radiotherapy,
- Recent operations,
- Herpes on the face,
- Micropigmentation,
- Patients with an unstable psychological profile,
- Treatments with retinoids,
- Depilation and laser treatments for at least 15 days.
Patients should not undergo any other professional peeling treatment (dermabrasion, microdermabrasion, ultrasonic peeling, etc.) in the 4 weeks prior to the treatment.
Five days before the treatment, it is recommended not to use any peeling substances and not to color, bleach, depilate or heal the areas to be treated.
